Catalogue Note

A lord depicted as blue-skinned Krishna being hailed as the hunter of elephants. He stands in the doorway of a palace with his broadsword on his shoulder. A defeated elephant (somewhat abraded) lies beneath the figures saluting him. A white horse painted with henna and richly caparisoned is led to him by a groom, perhaps an evocation of Kalki Avatar.
