Condition
Illustrated: Good and stable overall condition. Fragment of a larger illustration. Abrasions to lower segment as visible in catalog illustration. With some abrasion to white pigment on margin above, not visible in catalog illustration. The illustration is backed, masking losses to paper at the very bottom edge and above the wheel on lower left edge.
Krishna and Balarama Embrace their Friends: Good and stable overall condition. Fragment of a larger illustration. Slight wear to white pigment on left edge and to tree adjacent on upper margin.
Krishna Battles a Bull: Good and stable overall. Fragment of a larger image. The illustration is backed masking losses to paper at bottom edge. Abrasions and wear on the right edge of the lower ground of the painting.
Exhibited in a temporary frame.

Krishna in a chariot pulled by prancing stallions, cows leaping ahead vigorously. Gopas play flutes in his honor in the upper register. A charming fragment from a larger work with two additional fragmentary illustrations.
