Condition
India ink on paper. Surface in generally good condition. Sheet appears to be slightly darkened, and there are some very faint scattered fox marks visible, primarily in the upper right hand corner. The extreme corners exhibit some residue of prior adhesive or matting. Verso: Surface in generally good condition. There are remnants of prior black paper matting visible at all four corners of the sheet. There is a 4 inch soft crease visible on the reverse at lower left. Some mat stain. A few minor scattered fox marks.

Catalogue Note
The subject of this picture, a girl behind a curtain watching for an airplane, was a familiar theme for the artist. In the 1940s, Molnár returned to this motif and created a woodcut series of similar works.
