Oil over traces of crayon on board. THE FIRST: Surface in generally good condition. Scattered areas of foxing and surface dirt. Abrasion and wear visible at all extreme edges, particularly the lower left and right corners. The reverse shows remnants of previous tape, as well as some staining and other surface dirt. THE SECOND: Surface in generally good condition, colors are fresh. Some surface dirt visible. Scattered abrasions visible below the composition along the lower edge of the board. Abrasions and wear visible at all extreme edges, particularly the upper right and lower two corners. There is an unfinished composition on the reverse of the work, with writing and associated stickers.
