Condition

This work is in overall very good condition. The canvas is not lined. UV examination does reveal some fluorescence of original pigments that does not appear to be consistent with retouching. There is some surface dirt in places, including a diagonal line to the woman's face, and this work would benefit from a clean. There are a few fine lines of craquelure and some paint shrinkage in places, most prominently to the blue pigments.
