Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a layer of varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating. UV examination reveals a small line of retouching to one of the figures and some further faint spots of fluorescence to the lower right quadrant. There are scattered fly spots. There are fine lines of craquelure primarily to the blue and white pigments. There are two spots of paint loss to the upper left corner and the centre of the upper edge and some further scattered tiny flecks of paint loss. This work is in overall good condition.
