Condition
The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals a few spots of retouching to the green pillow pertaining to flecks of paint loss associated to stable craquelure. There is a tiny spot of paint loss to the blue pigment, close to the sitter's right hand. There is a vertical line of stable craquelure to the blue pigment beneath the green pillow and some further fine lines of stable craquelure in places. There is some frame rubbing and tiny paint losses along the upper edge, a pin hole at the centre of the upper and lower edges and a further pin hole to the lower right corner. There are two dents, with one associated paint rubbing, along the lower edge towards the right corner. This work is in overall good condition.

Catalogue Note
The sitter of Nu allongé sur drap rouge et vert is supposedly Kiki de Montparnasse, the celebrated artist’s muse and singer who was at the height of her fame during the 1920s. She modelled for Moïse Kisling on a number of occasions.
