Pour une cafetière identique, voir Sotheby's New York, 29 octobre 2013, n°354. Une cafetière de modèle identique a figuré à l'Exposition Universelle de Paris en 1867 et une version en vermeil à celle de 1878. Le modèle peut en être attribué à Edouard Récipon.
