en forme de cartouche à ouverture verticale, le panneau en agate à inclusions de mousse orné d'une plaque en or sous verre ciselée du buste d'une femme, probablement Caroline de Brandebourg-Ansbach (1683-1737), épouse du roi Georges II de Grande-Bretagne, entouré de diamants, les bordures en or ciselées de fleurs et rinceaux émaillés de blanc, vert, rose et bleu, motif repris sur la bâte, le dessous également en agate, traces de poinçons de prestige français
of cartouche form, opening vertically, the agate panel with moss inclusions on the lid centred with a glazed oval gold plaque chased with the profile bust of a woman, probably Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach (1683-1737), wife of King George II of England, within rose-cut diamants frame, the gold borders chased with flowers and scrolls picked out in white, green, pink and blue enamel on matted ground, echoed on the sides, the base also with moss agate panel, very faint pseudo French marks (date letter, maker's mark, charge and discharge)
