Catalogue Note

With a Urwerk certificate, instruction manual and presentation box.

Founded in 1995, Urwerk made its marks in horology world with its ground-breaking designs and state-of-the-art watchmaking technology. Within two decades of its establishment, the independent company quickly established itself as an award-winning brand under the leadership of their founders Martin Frei, Felix and Thomas Baumgartner.

Being hailed as one of Urwerk’s most iconic series, the most distinctive feature of Ref. UR-110 is its revolutionary hour modules mounted on planetary revolving satellite complication. Each of the three hour modules is equipped with four numbers, and by rotating in turn, they display time on the right of the watch with minute-scales. Other salient features include a day/night indicator and ‘oil change’ that alerts service intervals. Awarded the Design Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2011 and described as ‘a watch with attitude’ by the jury, UR-110 is a true display of ingenuity and undoubtedly a collector’s piece. As stated by the founder Martin Frei, “The beauty of the UR-110 is in its apparent simplicity. We imagined time as a 'silent journey'. There are things happening on the dial that are not obvious at first glance. Everything looks normal; however, they are everything but.”
