• cal. 1120/2 automatic nickel lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 36 jewels, 21k gold rimmed rotor engraved '1594 Gérard Mercator 1994' • polychrome cloisonné enamel dial with map of the South China Sea/Taiwan and the East coast of China, two retrograde sectors indicating hours and minutes, the hands in the form of mapping compasses • platinum case, stepped down-turned lugs, snap-on sapphire crystal display back • case, dial and movement signed • with an 18k white gold Vacheron Constantin twin folding buckle
Condition
Automatic movement and retrograde in working order when cataloging. Enamel dial is very nice, no cracks or damages, one minor bubble near 3 o'clock, which is very normal for enamel. Case with light wear, some minor scuffs to the band. Overall in good condition.
Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense.
