• finely engraved cal. 557 manual winding nickel lever movement, 21 jewels, one-minute tourbillon • enamel dial, secret signature at 6 o'clock of dial, painted Roman numerals to the eccentric chapter ring, further engraved with 1801 and 2001, aperture to reveal the three-arm tourbillon carriage with constant seconds • engine-turned hinged guilloché cover with aperture to reveal dial, crown with co-axial button to open cover, 18k white gold case, coin-edged band, sapphire crystal display case back with exquisitely engraved base plate • case, dial and movement signed • 18k white gold Breguet folding clasp

Condition

Manual winding movement in working order when cataloging. Enamel dial in very nice condition. Case with no apparent blemishes except a few very light hairlines around the lugs. Buckle with light signs of use. Overall in excellent condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. **The strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information**.

Reference 1801 was produced in a special edition in 2001 to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the tourbillon patent registered by the inventor Abraham-Louis Breguet. The present lot is numbered 28 of a limited edition of 28 pieces made in white gold with an enamel dial.
