Condition
Very fine and crisp cast precise in all details with a warm brown patina, fine chiselling and finishing of the surface. Very minor wear to the patina consistent with age and handling. An old squared filling to Amphitrite's back. Both bronzes are marked with the crowned C, a tax applied for all transactions in France between 1745 and 1749. A very fine pair of bronzes which can be highly recommended.

Catalogue Note
