Centering a sugarloaf cabochon sapphire weighing 30.96 carats, framed and accented by cushion-cut diamonds weighing approximately 7.40 carats, the under gallery decorated with an openwork swirled motif centering a floret, with round diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats, completed by round diamonds of pink hue weighing approximately .05 carat, size 5½.

Condition

In excellent condition. The semi-transparent sapphire is a medium to medium-deep blue and is heavily included with numerous surface reaching inclusions and internal feathers with small nicks and scratches to the surface. The cushion-cut diamonds are approximately F-G color, predominantly VS clarity with some SI examples. The smaller round diamonds are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The pink-hued diamonds are a very light slightly purplish pink, VVS-VS clarity. Accompanied by GRS report no. GRS2008-082078 dated August 26, 2008, stating that the rough of this sapphire, weighing 38.49 carats, was of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by GRS report no. GRS2015-088223 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 74647 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Please note the diamonds of pink hue have not been tested for natural origin of color.
