Description

  • Suzanne Belperron
  • gold, amethyst, aqua, diamond
Set with two pear-shaped amethysts weighing approximately 15.00 carats, accented by round aquamarines and rubies, with French assay and maker's marks for Darde et Fils; 1955-1969.

Condition

In good condition. The metal displays some scratching, commensurate with wear with the scratch number SVEC58 on the inside of the clips. The amethysts are a medium-deep very slightly pinkish purple and are moderately included displaying small scratches and nicks to the facet junctions, girdles and facets in addition to some chipping near the apex of one of the pear-shaped amethysts and a few internal inclusions. The aquamarines are a medium-light very slightly greenish blue with several nicks and chips surrounding the girdles and facet junctions. The rubies are a medium-deep slightly purplish red and are moderately to heavily included, maintaining transparency. They exhibit consistent scratching and nicking to the facet junctions and girdles and one significant chip that extends into one of the rubies but due to the small size of the stones, this is only noticeable under close inspection. Length approximately 1 1/8 inch.
