Designed as a dragon set with old-European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.70 carats, accented by one oval-shaped sapphire and round sapphires, further set with pink sapphires and emeralds, gross weight approximately 36 dwts, signed Webb.

Condition

In good condition. The metal displays some small areas of discoloration to both the front and the reverse of the brooch, not noticeable when worn. The largest diamond is approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity. The remainder of the diamonds are approximately F-H color, VS-SI clarity. The largest sapphire is a deep blue and is slightly included with some nicks and abrasions to the girdle and facet junctions. Evidence of color zoning within the stone seen under inspection with a loupe. The remainder of the sapphires range from medium to deep blue, and medium light to medium, very slightly purplish pink and are moderately to heavily included with examples of nicks and chips to the girdles and facets, internal fractures, and surface reaching inclusions. The emeralds are a medium, very slightly bluish green and while they display surface wear, are only very slightly included. Fitted with foldable pendant loop, measuring approximately 3¼ by 2¾ inches.
