The necklace composed of five fluted emerald beads measuring approximately 26.4 by 19.1 mm to 21.0 by 15.8 mm, spaced by four gray baroque cultured pearls measuring approximately 23.4 by 16.7 mm to 18.0 by 16.2 mm, spaced by textured gold rondelles, length 17½ inches, signed David Webb; the earclips suspending two carved emerald drops measuring approximately 17.3 by 11.2 mm and 17.1 by 11.7 mm, with textured gold tops, signed Webb; pendants detachable.
Condition
In good condition overall. The emerald beads are a light green color and are heavily included, with numerous surface-reaching inclusions, as is typical with this type of material. The baroque pearls vary in color from light to deep gray with overtones of lavender and green and are irregularly shaped and interestingly ringed and wrinkled, with waxy to good luster. Signed David Webb on the inside of the clasp. The earclips exhibit more intricate carving and are of similar quality as the emeralds in the necklace. 1 5/8 inches in length.
