Designed as a parrot perched on a stylized branch, the head set with numerous round rubies and one emerald eye, further set with a cabochon turquoise, the beak and feathers highlighted with black, blue and gold enamel, signed Schlumberger Tiffany & Co.; circa 1965.
Condition
In very good condition. The rubies range from light to medium purplish red and they range in clarity from eye-clean to lightly included. The turquoise is medium blue and even in color. The round emerald eye is medium green and lightly included. The enamel is intact and the gold shows very little evidence of wear. Gross weight approximately 40 dwts, inscribed with scratch number 1978. The brooch is approximately 4 1/2 inches in length.
