Description

  • David Webb
  • gold, platinum, diamond
The gold link necklace suspending an oval shaped pendant-brooch with two interchangeable centers which depict the zodiac sign Libra, the first in the form of a cameo, the second set with round diamonds weighing approximately 1.50 carats, gross weight approximately 129 dwts, length 25 inches, signed Webb; circa 1970.

Condition

In good condition. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. The shell cameo is slightly irregular in shape and the gold border doesn't fit fully flush around the edge. One of the segments of the necklace detaches so it can be worn in different ways.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
