The mounting of this ring is decorated with the insignia of the United States Military Academy at West Point. This piece was formerly in the collection of Barbara Eisenhower, as it is common for army wives to receive miniature versions of their husbands' class rings. The diamond in this mounting was given to Barbara from her mother-in-law Mamie Eisenhower.
