Pair of 18 Karat Two-Color Gold and Carved Emerald Earclips, Buccellati

Description
- Buccellati
- gold, emerald
The paisley-shaped earclips set with ten carved emerald leaves, signed Buccellati; circa 1970.
Condition
In good condition. The carved emeralds are medium slightly bluish green and heavily included which is typical of this type of carved material. Under magnification some surface reaching fractures can be seen, but they blend in with the carvings. It looks as though one of the emeralds fell out and the prongs were repaired with lead solder. This is more evident from the reverse of the earclip than from the front.
