Description

  • silver, gold, diamond
Centering an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 3.00 carats, framed by old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.20 carats, size 2; circa 1880.

Condition

In good condition commensurate with age and wear. The center diamond is approximately K-L color, VS2-SI1 clarity due to chipping around the girdle. The smaller old Mine-cut diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS clarity. The shank displays evidence of sizing and the underside of the head of the mount exhibits moderate denting which is probably a result of tool marks from repairs. The actual setting is in very good condition and the diamonds are all stable in their mountings.
