The polished gold cherub with a ruby-set heart, accented by round sapphires and old European-cut diamonds, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered N.Y. 12105

In good condition. The brooch displays minor wear in the form of light abrasions and scratching to the surface consistent with age. Some very minor pitting to the cherub's arm visible with a 10x loupe. The medium light blue sapphires are slightly included. The slightly included rubies display a medium red hue, with some abrading to the facet junctions and one chip to the table facet of one ruby, not visible when worn. Diamond are approximately I-J color and SI clarity. Length 1 3/4 inches, weighing approximately 11 dwts.
