Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The fixture retains its original hammered glass shade which is in very good condition, displaying a few very light surface scratches and surface soiling. When viewing this chandelier firsthand, the color is slightly more saturated and nuanced than seen in the catalogue illustration, which doesn't fully capture the richness of the glass. The hand-wrought copper surfaces throughout with some light surface wear and rubbing, and with surface soiling and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The lantern retains its original wrought-iron link chain and copper ceiling canopy. The interior socket appears to be original and undisturbed. A superb example of this rare architectonic lantern design displaying elegant and refined proportions and lines. -----
