Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wooden surfaces with minor surface scratches, minor edge abrasions, light surface dirt to the recessed areas, a few prior restorations and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The carving of the legs is spectacular, with great detailing to the heads and wings of the dragonflies that impart great dynamism to the table. The marquetry is masterfully executed, the top representing a lakeside landscape with dragonflies that displaying a rich variety of woods with mother-of-pearl highlights. The lower top with leaves and a British flag as a symbol of the Franco-British committee. A great example of a highly desirable model with a very special history. -----
