Condition
Overall in fair condition. These chairs have been repeatedly used and the current condition reflect that use. The two chairs with slightly different coloration as seen in the catalogue illustration likely based on different sun exposure within the auditorium. One chair with more considerable wear to the upholstery including tears at the top surfaces of the arms that extend the width of the armrest and some adjacent prior restorations to the corner of the armrest. The upholstery with scattered wear, abrasions, and surface dirt. Both chairs have retained their original location plaques however one is presently detached to one corner. The chair seats move with ease in the upright and lower seat positions. The bases in similar condition as seen in the catalogue illustration with oxidation, discoloration, rubbing to finish and surface scratches. A wonderful design that translated Mollino's design aesthetic and sinuous lines into furniture for use in large auditorium setting. -----
