Condition

Other: 2 3/4 in. high ; 5 1/2 in. diameter. Overall in very good original condition. When viewed in person, the bowls display a wide range of various jeweled tones. The pieces have been examined under black light and show no evidence of prior restoration. The upper edges are slightly irregular, which is inherent in the making and imparts the bowl with a subtle hand-made aspect. The surfaces with a few minor and shallow surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. Two wonderfully delicate works by Melotti showing a rich range of highly saturated hues to the glaze work. -----
