carved in the round as a gourd growing from a vine bearing large leaves, detailed with two small insects resting on the fruit, the stone of an even white colour with russet inclusions cleverly picked out to depict the leaves and insects
Condition
In overall good condition except minute nicks to the extremities as can be expected, including the edges of the russet leaves. The actual colour of the jade is similar to the catalogue illustration.
