well carved in the form of a craggy boulder, one side with an immortal riding a deer under a tree issuing pine blossoms and being greeted by a scholar, two attendants holding a double-gourd and a pile of books respectively following suit, the reverse with two deer beneath an overhanging pine tree, the stone of a pale celadon-white colour accentuated with russet inclusions
Condition
The boulder is in overall good condition. There are minute nicks to the extremities as can be expected, including the edges of the boulder and the tip of the twigs. There are also areas of bruising to the boulder. The actual colour is similar to the catalogue illustration.
