carved as a bowl with deep rounded sides rising from a splayed foot to a flared rim, the exterior carved in low relief with a continuous scene depicting a wondrous landscape with verdant vegetation, including prunus blossoms and bamboo shoots, issuing from rockwork, further depicted with one fluttering dragonfly and two butterflies, the interior decorated in inlay work with tufts of grass and an upright sprig stemming from layers of rockwork
