of archaistic fanghu form, brilliantly enamelled with a vivid landscape scene, the lug handles enamelled with kui dragons, all between two stylised ruyi borders and two key-fret bands encircling the mouthrim and footrim, the interior and base enamelled in white

Condition
There is an old restoration of approx. 11 by 12 cm which has turned yellowish to the narrow side penal on the left, extending to the rocks on the reverse. There are three other smaller restored C-shaped areas, two to the mouthrim of approx. 2.5 and 3 cm long (visible in the catalogue illustration), and another of approx. 2.2 cm to the right handle. There are also some typical crackles to the enamels, surface scratches, as well as tarnishing and oxidization to the metals. The actual colours are less vivid than the catalogue illustration.
