each delicately potted with shallow rounded sides resting on a short foot, applied overall save for the mouthrim and base with an even red glaze pooling on the foot and beneath the white-edged mouthrim, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark

Condition
The overall condition of the pair is excellent, only with some occasional minute pinholes and expected surface wear. The actual colours of the pair are brighter than the catalogue illustration, and the left dish is of a slightly deeper shade of red than the right one.
