the pen-form vessel, with bowl-shaped body cast with two raised fillets below the waisted neck and flat rim, the sides set with opposing loop handles, the dui cover, of domed-form, the top set with four loop handles, the rim of the cover and the body of the pen later painted with bands of racing canines (2)

Condition
Two of the loops on the cover are replacements, the rim of the cover has been notched in order to fit over the handles on the body. There are multiple small patches visible to one side of the interior of the vessel. The painted decoration on the cover is later added and the painting on the vessel has been retouched and perhaps also later added. X ray images indicate that there are no breaks to either the cover or vessel.
