- CERAMICS
of square section supported on four angled ruyi-form feet, the sides finely enameled with panels enclosing dragon and carps, cranes and peaches and birds and flowers, each bordered by raised outlines, all reserved on a diaper ground with small florets at the corners
Condition
There is an area of restoration to the lower left edge on the side with the bird and peony panel, measuring approximately 3.6 cm; two firing cracks to the rim and a further hairline to one of the corners; together with a 0.4 cm glaze flake to the inner rim. Characteristic fritting to the raised panel borders. One foot with an approximately 1.5 cm loss to the tip, and another foot with a 0.4 cm small chip. There are scattered minor firing imperfections and general surface wear, consistent with age and use.
