the bowl with deep rounded sides rising from a short slightly splayed foot ring, tapering towards the mouth rim, covered overall with an olive-green glaze, stopping short of the foot, the rim and base of the interior unglazed, the dish-shaped cover similarly glazed, extending over the shallow ring foot to the underside and stopping short of the underside of the rim, Japanese wood box (4)
Condition
The bowl has a very faint hairline crack to the rim, extending downward approximately 3.5 cm to the exterior and 2.7 cm to the interior. There are also a few shallow chips to the foot. The cover is in overall good condition. Both the bowl and cover with some expected general wear and minor firing imperfections, consistent with age and use.
