the globular body rising from a short foot to a tall cylindrical flared neck, decorated with a mythical bear with outstretched wings and an eagle perched on rocky outcrops among crested waves, the copper-red sun half covered in clouds, painted with two seals, apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within double circles

Collection of Eric Nordstrom, Sweden, acquired in the 1920s. 

Condition

There are tiny scattered burst bubbles all over as well as a small scratch on the bulbous section of the vase, otherwise the vase is in overall good condition.
