of compressed form rising to an everted rim, supported on a short flared foot, the sides set with opposing lion-mask handles, the base cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark, wood stand (2)

Provenance

Acquired in China prior to 1968 and thence by descent.

Condition

Minor nicks along the edges and wear consistent with age. Base appears to be lightly polished. Overall the censer appears to be in good condition. Repairs to wood stand.
