  • Cinnabar Lacquer
of circular form, the cover deftly carved with a spray of four lychees bearing leaves against a floral diaper ground, the fruit textured with various diapering patterns, including the wan symbol and chevron, the exterior of the box similarly decorated to the underside with a further spray issuing three lychees, the interior lacquered in black (2)

Condition

There is a star-crack to the rim of one cover approximately 1.3 cm by 1.3 cm wide and a 0.6 cm hairline crack running from the rim to the other. Both have areas of touch up and scattered small chips to the rounded edges.
