depicted in a recumbent position, the quail's head looking straight ahead, its plumage naturalistically detailed with finely incised feathers and its feet neatly tucked under its body, the smoothly polished stone of a pale yellow color with natural russet and light brown inclusions

Condition

There is a tiny chip to one feather, and two stained fissure lines running across the back approx 1 1/4 in., (3.1 cm) long, and 1 in. (2.5 cm) long.
