the shallow rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a gently flaring rim, covered overall in a rich red glaze thinning to white at the rim and stopping neatly at the foot revealing the buff-coloured body, the white base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle

A Swiss Private Collection, since 1970s.

Condition

There are two small areas of rim restoration, one measuring 0.5x0.2cm and the other 0.3x0.1cm. The base with a stained firing flaw near the bottom left of the mark. About one-fifth of the rim has been fired to a lighter red tone. Some surface scratches.
