Description

the lobed rounded sides rising from a raised foot to a wide everted rim, with four animal mask-ring handles, the domed cover with pierced panels of bats amongst cloud scrolls, surmounted with a chilong finial, the stone of an even pale celadon tone

Condition

The censer is in good condition with the exception of a circa 2cm., area of polish to the base and side of the foot, and a circa 1.5cm., area of polish to the rim.
