the compressed globular body rising from a slightly tapered foot, to a short tapering rim, painted on the exterior with an immortal reclining on cragged rocks near a recumbent deer below a band of incised foliage at the shoulder, the domed cover with a scholar looking up at the moon and circled by a similar band of incised foliage

Condition

This jar and cover is in good condition, but does have a shallow 5mm diameter chip to the interior rim of the jar to one side and 2mm to the other. There are some burst bubbles and iron spots to the lower side of the exterior and further ones to the interior. There is three darkened linear glaze inconsistencies to the shoulder and some scratches to the glaze of the cover.
