the ovoid body rising from a recessed base to a short waisted broad neck with everted rolled rim, painted around the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tones with four large lappet panels enclosing flowers issuing from rockwork divided by strapwork, all below similar smaller panels at the shoulder and above a lappet band at the base, the neck with a classic scroll band, drilled to the side

Condition

There is a 1.9cm drilled hole to the lower side of of the body to one side which was most likely mounted with a cistern tap. The rim is warped and there is a slight lean to the vase. There are a number of more minor firing inconsistencies to the glaze throughout including fritting to the rim, iron spots and burst bubbles. There is also some scratches to the glaze throughout.
