of oval form, the front face deftly carved with a scholar standing before a demon holding a flaming pearl, the reverse with the heavenly stems and earthly branches arranged in two circles, all above a dragon fish and below a yinyang symbol amongst scrolling clouds, the stone of a greenish yellow tone with russet inclusions

Condition

The jade plaque is in overall good condition with some minor nicks along the edges. The stone is of a brighter celadon-yellow tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
