Description

  • bronze
the beast cast seated with large bushy tail and left paw raised and resting on a ribbon-tied brocade ball, the detachable head with large bulbous eyes and jaws wide open to reveal the sharp teeth, the metal patinated to a dark blackish-brown tone

Condition

The hinge had been broken. One ear had been broken and restuck. There are possible repairs to one section of the ribbon near the brocade ball and one scroll end of the tail. The tip of the claws with minor polished losses. There are general small dents and casting flaws throughout.
