the globular body rising from a recessed base to a tall cylindrical neck, covered overall with a pale dove-grey glaze suffused with a matrix of darker grey crackles, the base inscribed with the mark in underglaze blue

Condition

The vase had been broken and restored, with extensive areas of overpaint, restoration, and infills. There is an approx. 0.5x0.7cm iron spot/glaze pull to one side of the vase. Other minor surface scratches and glaze firing imperfections.
