Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The wood displays rich figuring and a highly saturated color palette. Some minor discoloration of the wood concentrated to the base. The surface with light surface scratches, minor traces of rubbing, minute abrasions and light surface dirt to the recessed areas, consistent with age and gentle use. The surface of the wood with some minute age cracks consistent with the age of the material. The proper left leg with a minute surface abrasion at mid-height, which is not visually distracting. The upper back edge of the base with a minute old chip measuring approximately 1/8 x ΒΌ in. The back of the collar with another minute chip, only visible upon close inspection. A wonderfully detailed and expressive sculptural form.
