Condition

Overall good original condition consistent with age and normal use. The gilded wood with traces of wear, visible in the catalogue illustration and consistent with age and use. With surface scratches, dents and edge abrasions throughout. The proper left back leg of one of the chairs missing its original sabot, the chair is therefore not stable. The metal of the original sabots with some surface scratches, abrasions and traces of oxidation consistent with age and gentle use. The upholstery is original and presents with traces of wear, discoloration and surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. The fabric of the underseats torn in some areas. A historic design with great provenance in original condition, which would benefit from a gentle restoration.
