Condition
Overall in very good condition. The work presents with more intense and vibrant colors when viewed in person than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The lithograph is laid down on a wood panel. Please contact the 20th century Design department for additional high resolution photographs. The edges presents with a few traces of wear, concentrated to the corners. Two minor paper losses to the center of the lower and back edges, measuring approximately 1/8 x 1/2 inches, probably from a frame. The surface has been varnished and present with a few scattered minute surface irregularities consistent with age and gentle handling and visible on the catalogue illustration. The gilded surface with a few minor traces of wear and minor hairline scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The lower brown edge with a few scattered minute white paint spots. A few minute stains in the lower right corner, above left to the signature. An impressive work with great presence, displaying Jouve iconic subject.
