Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The color of the vase is a little more saturated when viewed in person than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The lot has been examined under black light and shows no evidence of prior restoration. The highly detailed glazed surface with some minor irregularities and minute burst air bubbles inherent to the making. With a few light surface scratches and minor surface dirt to the recessed areas, consistent with age and gentle handling. A wonderful and intricate design and a rare work to appear on the market. 5 7/8 in. wide

Paul Milet was trained at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres and then entered his father's pottery workshop in Sèvres, taking part in many exhibition including the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
